Volume by Rios Clementi Hale

Statement

The Alley Fellowship supports the collaboration between architects and artists in order to extend the spectrum of work and artists the A+D showcases. As a forum for celebrating creative exploration, the inaugural exhibition of the Alley Fellowship seeks to be a conduit between Los Angeles youth artists and an audience of Architects and Designers that they might not otherwise meet. The Alley Fellowship was established as a partnership between Rios Clementi Hale Studios and A+D Architecture and Design Museum.

For the first exhibit in the six-part series, Volume, the Alley Gallery provides a venue for an exhibit of the work of young artists and musicians working for the first time in deep collaboration with designers from RCH Studios. These young artists from the Leimert Park neighborhood are challenged to think dimensionally about their art form.

Ultimately, Volume strives to inspire young creative minds with an awareness of their capacity for genius and the power of architecture and collaboration as a means of expression.
