Functional Models by Medium Office

Functional Models is A+D’s first venture into guerilla site-specific shop installations within the museum. Each installation features collectible works by a local and emerging designer. These features are both an exploration of work and a way for visitors to truly support both the museum and local makers. The inaugural installation features Functional Models by Medium Office. Medium Office makes a lot of models. Usually, they are smaller than the things they attempt to represent. Usually, they don’t lead to anything else and they stop being scaled representations and turn into actual-size objects. Functional Models presents a series of these actual-size objects for use in the home. They aren’t made for anything, in particular, so use them for whatever they seem good for.
