Cabinet presents the collective work of emerging young designers from the 2018 Graduate class at the USC School of Architecture. The title of the exhibition, Cabinet, is in direct reference to the Renaissance Era Cabinet of Curiosities, a cataloged collection of historical artifacts from around the world. For their thesis explorations, students were asked to reach into the cabinet of curiosities, so to speak, and engage with the historical precedents of our Architectural heritage. In doing so, students are able to contribute their own (future) precedents to the cabinet.
