Shibori dyeing workshop with Haven Lin-Kirk

Shibori means to tie, fold, and bind cloth before dyeing using indigo dyes. Lin-Kirk will demonstrate how to create an indigo vat using pre-reduced indigo crystals and share several fold, tie, and resist techniques. Participants will create their own dyed cloths. Haven Lin-Kirk is Vice Dean of Design, Roski School of Art and Design, University of Southern California. The hands-on workshop is open to all ages and is recommended for middle-school age and above or younger participants with adult supervision. All materials provided.
Please remember that things can get messy, dyes are permanent. We encourage you to dress appropriately.
