Celebrate SHELTER 2015
Arts District Location

SHELTER celebrated the belief that a well-designed habitat creatively and functionally expresses its relationship to site, neighbor, and occupant.

Celebrate: Shelter was our grand re-opening in our new home, a ware-house-turned-museum in DTLA’s burgeoning Arts District. The centerpiece of the evening was a silent auction of custom-designed “shelters” created by architecture and design luminaries, installed exhibit-style in the new space. All pieces were donated and auctioned off with 100% of proceeds benefitting the museum. Guests were treated to premier cuisine, cocktails, music, and much more while bidding on one-of-a-kind works and on-theme items to grace and invigorate their own shelters. Emcee and actor, Boise Thomas, returned as the evening’s host.
