Xorin Balbes PDF Print E-mail
Xorin Balbes is an award-winning architectural conservator, lauded designer and philanthropist.  He co-owns Temple Home, an architectural and interior design firm specializing in high-end residential projects, restoration and renovation. Xorin is well-known for his remarkable restorations of architecturally significant properties in the Los Angeles area including the 1926 Lloyd Wright-designed Sowden House, the Talmadge Villa – a replica of a 17th century Italian villa in Los Feliz, and the 1929 Art Deco Security-First National Bank. Xorin’s succession of redesigns and renovations, currently thirty-six major projects, encouraged him to develop his own philosophy for home design entitled SoulSpace. The SoulSpace process embodies Xorin’s passion for design as well as his desire to create beauty, peace and harmony in the home and, more importantly, throughout the world. Xorin co-founded Global Vision for Peace and has launched initiatives in conjunction with the United Nations and well-known celebrities promoting world peace and HIV/AIDS awareness. Xorin is also undertaking a new initiative called Living Cultural Museums, set to launch in 2008.
