cityworksLosAngeles, a volunteer based forum drawn from the architecture and design community, is focusing this inaugural exhibition on showcasing work by local design schools and community groups including day care and community centers, homeless shelters, public gardens and teaching facilities.

An invited jury reviewed a wide range of projects submitted by individuals, professional firms, academic institutions and community groups. Due to the diversity of the projects, the jury chose to highlight a group of unique community design concepts as well as constructed work. Special consideration was given to projects that rely primarily on donations and found building materials. Jury Members:  Kazys Varnelis, Ray Kappe, Brian Lane.
