 Photos: Claire Harlan 2x8 is an annual exhibition organized by the American Institute of Architects/ Los Angeles Chapter, showcasing exemplary student work from local architecture and design institutions throughout the Los Angeles region. Celebrating the unequaled diversity in pedagogical directions, each of the twelve participating academic programs select two projects that exemplify its core vision. Through this important exhibition, the American Institute of Architects/Los Angeles hopes to forge an invaluable link between this emerging talent and the professional world, giving rise to significant collaborations and alliances vital to the improvement of our built environment.

The museum of architecture and design closes out the year with a unique window into how 34 LA architects approach their work. The exhibit opens with a reception November 18, 04 closes February 22nd, 2005.
This self-organized group of architects, evolved from an initial group of 12 organized by architect, educator and activist Bernard Zimmerman, FAIA, with the assistance of architects Stephen Kanner, FAIA and Clive Wilkinson, AIA.
