CELEBRATE 2017: DTLA

A+D Museum is pleased to present its sixth annual gala and fundraiser, CELEBRATE: DTLA on Saturday, January 14, 2017. This year’s theme celebrates the museum’s recent return to our DTLA roots and will highlight each of the distinct neighborhoods that make up the cultural mecca of Downtown Los Angeles. Through a world-class silent auction featuring inspired DTLA designs, CELEBRATE: DTLA will explore the past, present, and future of Downtown Los Angeles as a source of inspiration for artists, designers, and design-enthusiasts alike.

CELEBRATE 2015: SHELTER

SHELTER celebrated the belief that a well-designed habitat creatively and functionally expresses its relationship to site, neighbor, and occupant.

Celebrate: Shelter was our grand re-opening in our new home, a ware-house-turned-museum in DTLA’s burgeoning Arts District. The centerpiece of the evening was a silent auction of custom-designed “shelters” created by architecture and design luminaries, installed exhibit-style in the new space. All pieces were donated and auctioned off with 100% of proceeds benefitting the museum. Guests were treated to premier cuisine, cocktails, music, and much more while bidding on one-of-a-kind works and on-theme items to grace and invigorate their own shelters. Emcee and actor, Boise Thomas, returned as the evening’s host.
